Sounds like a script problem. Are all symbolic links in place in /etc/rc.d/rc3.d ?? I don't understand your question. Why don't you look if they are there or not? Well, if you want to start and stop the firewall in your own shell scripts, use
/sbin/SuSEfirewall2 start and /sbin/SuSEfirewall2 stop instead of the rc-scripts. Bye Uli -- Ulrich Roth IMPACT Business & Technology Consulting GmbH Im Mediapark 8 / KölnTurm D-50670 Koeln Phone +49-221-93 70 80-29 Fax +49-221-93 70 80-15 E-Mail: roth@impact.de
