Hi Ulrich Roth,
Hi,
This is my scenario:
---------------------------------------------------------(LAN) | | | DNS PROXY-SMTP(TIS) EXCHANGE SERVER 172.16.1.246 172.16.1.247 172.16.1.219 ^^^^^^
this are non routable IP-Adresses like 192.168.x.x That can cause problems in mailtransfer. I suggest the following: I-Net DMZ -------|------------------|---------------| Firewall DNS Proxy-SMTP (TIS) 212.x.y.z 212.x.y.z 212.x.y.z | | LAN ---------|---------|----------|---------->> other PDC BDC Exchange 172.16.1.219 The TIS-Software should be able to transfer smtp-traffic to non-routeable IP-Adresses in the internal lan through the firewall. For security reasons I don't like to build a NT-Domain in the DMZ and I don't like to put the Exchange-Server there.
