Hi, there are also people on this list who have stopped using YOU alltogether without telling everyone - simply because they have better things to do than use buggy software or waste time to report problems over and over again without getting answers. I would be happy if SuSE's policy in such cases would be to officially inform people that using YOU _may_ be risky. If this was done without me noticing I apologize in advance. Anyhow, I have to remote-administer quite a few boxes and some of them are on ADSL lines which happen to produce network resets more often than a regular connection. In at least 3 cases I got machines left in an undefined state after using YOU and a network error occured. So you might ad this to your list: e. network errors while running YOU This - to me - is simply bad design - period. That it can be done better was proven by Markus Gaugusch with fou4s which I am happily using ever since I tossed YOU. Erwin --- At 08:55 27.11.2002 -0800, you wrote:

On the subject of YOU, there are plenty of people using SuSE's YOU on this list and we don't experience such problems. Look somewhere else for possible problems. a. Not enough memory b. Bad Ram c. Bad CPU d. not enough swap space
