Hi all,
I use Yast2 to enable LDAP authentication in one machine. I see my PAM configurations files and there is no pam_ldap.so "directive". Only /etc/nsswitch and /etc/openldap/ldap.conf files changed. I want to know what files Yast2 modified to enable LDAP authentication. Thanks
pam_unix2 will support PAM transparently if you set use_ldap in /etc/security/pam_unix2.conf. If pam_unix2 sees that flag, it will dlopen the pam_ldap module and call it for most operations. Note that on recentish (I don't know when this started) SuSE Linux, pam_unix.so is in fact a hard link to pam_unix2.so.
