Hello List,
i have installed OpenSSH 3.3p1 on Suse 7.3. After the hint to modify /etc/init.d/sshd and adding export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libcrypt.so, sshd works fine and seems to be stable. Should i downgrade to openssh-2.9.9?
If 3.3p1 works for you, there's no reason to downgrade. We just decided to go back to 2.9.9 on pre 8.0 systems because of stability issues other people encountered. If you have no stability problems, you're free to choose which one you want :) Olaf -- Olaf Kirch | Anyone who has had to work with X.509 has probably okir@suse.de | experienced what can best be described as ---------------+ ISO water torture. -- Peter Gutmann
