I just installed a SuSE 7.3 box to route betwen 2 networks. The problem that I have is that I can't use ssh to connect the machine in the other side of the router. IP forwarding is enabled and I can ping the machine but ssh doesn't work. Know somebody where to shoot the trouble?
Are there any error messages? Try "ssh host -v". Try "telnet host ssh". Try "netstat -A inet -n" during the connect attempt (in another console) and check the connection (SYN_SENT or ESTABLISHED). Do your hosts.allow/deny and sshd_config settings allow logins from the other box? Martin
