I'm using SuSE Linux 7.0 with Bind 8.2.3. My problem, is : My bind is always stopping , I don't know way. This occurs about 1 or 2 times a day. Then , I need to restart it everytime. Can somebody help me?
When I remember correctly the bind on 7.0 has exploitable bugs which allow attackers to execute arbitrary code. During attack the named stops working because its executing a shell. Might be that the attacker doesnt get the offset right and tries and tries. Update to newest bind and see whether it helps.
