I certainly enter the root password, I'm not THAT stupid... I just entered my USER-ID, but it didn't change behaviour, I guess... Do I have to reboot for this? THe problem actually isn't that I can't run su, it just always give's back the answer: wrong password... I'm kinda stuck... I'll try that sudoers thing later. already had a look at it an hour ago, but i guess i'm too tired to get that thing working now... thanks anyway kind regards markus
