So do you really expect a major Linux distributor who has to pay a lot of employees to upgrade packages every time a new version comes out? I mean where do you draw the line here?
Since you ask where I draw it, I draw it at OpenSSH. That is a key component of security, and I would like to have sftp working without needing to build the package myself.
If that is SuSE policy, I will be tempted to look elsewhere.
You are free to do what you like - Linux is about choice ... ;-)
For now, SuSE is still my choice. Should I never complain, though, and just switch distributions the moment I become dissatisfied? Egan
