My question deals with the installation of the ypclient rpm which was recently announced to fix some security issues. I have been applying the security updates for SuSE 6.4 as they are announced. When I attempt to apply the ypclient update, I get the error error: failed dependencies: portmap is needed by ypclient-3.4-95 While I know what this means, I can't figure out why I am getting the error. I have the portmap program installed (/sbin/portmap), which I believe was updated by the nkitb rpm security update. I would appreciate it if someone can give me some ideas as to how I can fix this problem. andreas -- Andreas Fuchs fuchsa@psu.edu +1 814 898 6472 (voice)
