People, I need some help here quick. I went on leave for a few days and came back to find that evrything under /usr on my machine had been wiped out. the /usr partition is now empty. Now my main issue with this is that I had set /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/sbin to be immutable with chattr +i but surprisingly these were also deleted. Astounding as well is the fact that DF reports that all of my patitions are the same size and that all have been used 16% including the ones I mount via NFS and which were empty since I could not do NFS without certain commands in /usr. However fdisk reports the proper size of partitions. I really need help on this one.
Please check your syslogs. Filesystems do not disappear, except when they
are umounted (which doesn't show up in the logs...).
The output from mount(8) may not be accurate (it checks /etc/mtab). See
/proc/mounts instead.
Thanks,
Roman.
