Hi All, here are some belated Board meeting minutes from our 22 Sept Meeting GSoC Rewards The Board was asked about the possibility of rewarding GSoC Mentors for their great hard work during each years GSoC The Board has decided that money or material rewards are not a route we want to pursue, as it can be perceived as 'payment for contributions' which is something we fundamentally disagree with as a volunteer community. It would also be a great deal of logistical work However, we are very fond of the idea of Thank you letters, increased news attention, and generally making sure our GSoC mentors feel their contributions are rightly recognised and thanked - (so to get it started - THANK YOU all for the great work making this years GSoC a success) Booth Box The Board is beginning discussions and planning to purchase new merchandise as our 'Booth Box' stock is starting to run low. We're awaiting detailed costs from last years purchases to help us plan this years. We're also keen to investigate distributed purchase and storage instead of centralising it at SUSE's Nuremberg office. openSUSE Asia Summit All looking good, no action items, the Board is very excited to see how the event succeeds! oSC 15 Kick off event was discussed (Since happened, oSC 15 planning is in full swing, please get involved) SUSEcon openSUSE will have a booth at this years SUSEcon 13.2/Marketing openSUSE 13.2 needs more help marketing, Kostas is getting involved and spearheading the Boards efforts to get more people to help make 13.2 both a marketing as well as a technical success Regards - Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
