I think something Manjaro-style would be great.
Quoting G G
Hi All, at the first boot of a newly installed openSUSE some users could feel a little bit confused. That because they are going to use a new operating system (different from Windows or Mac OS), so they have to do stuff like network setup, graphics driver installation, audio/video codecs installation and so on. We could improve the openSUSE Greeter with first boot tips to help new users with the initial configuration of the system.
Following there are some ideas from other projects that i (as user) find interesting: -> Classical way, like the PC-BSD guys have done [0] (screenshot 2, 3 and 4); -> Something more stylish like Mozilla did to present the new UI of Firefox [1]; -> Rework the current Greeter to contain less text (that is very scary to the user) to obtain something like Manjaro Linux [2] (screenshots 3, and 4).
What do you think about?
Best Regards hawake
