My name is Sanidhya Kashyap, a fourth year dual degree student, studying at IIIT Hyderabad, India. I am working in the area of virtualization, and infrastructure management. My research work focuses on live migration of VMs (post vs pre copy live migration).
This time, a project named "Upstream Xen Support for Libvirt" on xen and libvirt api has been proposed and it sounds interesting to me.
The main focus of mine is to contribute to the open source community, what I have learned so far and this is a good option for me to start with. This way, I am going to learn a lot about the libvirt functionality as well the new Xen tool - Xenlight(XL), because I am already familiar with the virtualization technologies, but it will give me an in-depth knowledge.
I have already talked with the mentor Bamvor Jian Zhang and I getting familiar with new Xen 4.1 and libvirt docs which my mentor asked me to look at.
