I would like to consult this mailing list regarding the possibility of running a project in OBS with a single goal: Provide a full working Mono repository for RHEL6 and superior.
So that would be RHEL 6 and SUSE Linux Enterprise 11, right? :-P
No, that's just Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL and Clones), no SUSE Linux, that's something that upstream works on. I've submitted some packages for update to upstream on OBS for Mono:Factory and they hanged there for weeks, then I revoked them. That's the situation I don't really like (there or with any aother project). So for this, I'd rather work solo, because things happen when I want to :)
Will this be possible to accomplish ? A simple "Yes" or "No" will do.
Why would it not be possible? Personally I always prefer things like that to happen together with the upstream developers if they are willing to. Have you asked them and they said "No"? Or is it mostly about packaging style preferences? Either way, the infra- structure is there and you should be able to use it.
I'm on it on Mono:EL6 :)
