I am happy to let you know there actually is something like this in 
openSUSE. Shortly after the last conference, we were founding openSUSE 
Invis, please see [1]. Invis is actually a small business server based 
on openSUSE which is in production for years now.

The Invis spin got some activity recently, see the buildservice repo
spins:invis

We'd be very happy to get more help, as you see there is still a lot to 
do such as promotion, web site etc, but also technical stuff like 
packaging and image releasing. Please join the opensuse-invis 
mailinglist if you're interested.
