Yep, ram makes more sense then a SSD. 

SSD are either slow on write (what we do heavily) or they seem not
to be reliable enough as far as I heard from other OBS installations 
tried to use them.

memory will decrease the need of writing data to any disk at all
and in best case (small packages) the build can happen entirely in memory.
