I will have a look at the Jasons distro and maybe try to make it smaller 
so that it fits on a CD. Is there a branch-system for SUSE Studio yet, 
so that I can make a merge-request to him?

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD, an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
Studio a try. www.susestudio.com.
