All old-time users of any distro know this difference. However I
believe the effort should be oriented in improving the "0-day" release
instead than releasing every two months. In other words, test during
the development stage. :-)
You can test it as much as you want, any open source project is notorious
producer of patches, in a few months you will have hundreds of megabytes, even
when 0 day was perfect, but of course 0 day should be improved.
