Perhaps you'ld consider a low noise Tumbleweed-announce at some point,
once it's bedded in and you're happy to have end users, who wish to
keep the email bandwidth down and are less development oriented, so
want to stay off factory?
Wouldn't the package upgrader take care of popping up a notification
when there are updates in the channels ? That is not enough ?
That'd probably be too much for kind of user who just want's a fresh
stable system and avoid dramatic breakage..
What list would the user subscribe to, to get important announcements
without a load of other noise?
There is an openSUSE announce list, which probably can be used.

I wonder if I should post these there, I'll try that next time.
