Yes, indeed. I reported the initial problem and have tested the
back-ported fix on openSUSE 11.3. I use an OCZ Vertex 2e SSD myself.
I guess 9.30 is backported into
http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.3/rpm/x86_64/hdparm-9.28-4.1.1.x86_64.rpm.
I tried wiper.sh in there but still complaining about
"/usr/sbin/rdev".
The script works fine for me. /usr/sbin/rdev is part of util-linux and
installed on my standard openSUSE 11.3.
