Sigh. I'm not even saying we should use the Ubuntu versioning scheme.

I just think it's bad that we reject something simply because it comes
from Ubuntu (or Fedora, or Mandriva, or Debian, or Gentoo, or GNOME, or
KDE, or...). It shouldn't matter: what matters is if it's good or bad,
not where it comes from.

If we can't do this, then that's a really big issue.
