iirc, the "membership" was established to identify voters for board
members, and other..., to try and maintain single voices of *interested*
parties.

this has *nothing* to do with being an opensuse member!

And now you are grasping straws rather than trying to discern the true
purpose/intent of being a member.  Being a member is similar but not the
same as being a registered voter for political elections.
