It was just my uneducated guess. TBH I like the proposal for various
personal reasons, but (at the moment) I'm not sure it is a good one.

The strategy is not about where we are NOW, but where we want to be in,
let's say 5 years. Apple fanboys didn't scream that they want a midsize
device year ago and now they are buying it like crazy (and the
competition is copying).
