I would say it's more than "a couple",  there are a number of us who
have talked about it on the side for some time now.  And it seems like
it would reduce the splitting of marketing efforts as well.  The only
thing left to address is long term support.  But as others have
mentioned, it is simply Novell that doesn't support past 18 months.
Nothing stopping the community from stepping up to extend the cycle.
