Who is the intended group of people to come? I assume it wil be nuernberg local people interested in Linux, either already using openSUSE or candidates to do so.
Nuremberg or nearby, yes. That's not a requirement, of course - but I suspect we won't get many people attending from too far away for the Open Day.
Are talks on the open day in german? How do we want to advertise that special sub event 'open day'? I would suggest to print posters and place these at schools, universities in Nuernberg.
That's a good question. I had thought of video taping the talks and
putting them online for anyone who had questions about openSUSE /
Linux in the future. If we do the talks in German, then that is going
to limit our audience a bit for those videos. Also, we may have people
doing talks who don't speak German...
On the other hand, we might be more likely to draw people in person
for Open Day if the talks will be in German.
Posters, yes. We also should try to get some contacts at local schools
and send out announcements they can forward to students, etc.
Best,
Zonker
