: Hi Bryen,
Thanks for the support.
For the beginning anyone that wants to take time with openSUSE media server project can use this thread, or/and mail me directly.
When we collect some ideas what functions such server should provide, we can list them on the wiki. The functions should be derived from hardware configurations that should be served.
Anyone with more links with ideas?
As UPnP/DLNA sw Coherence might be a good fit :
Squezzecenter/Slimserver is also a intersting SW: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SlimServer
What ever i s chosen, I think it's important to chose 1, one, SW per application area. This to be able to secure quality in the delivery and to have focus for the home user.

Thanks for the links. There is a lot of reading :-) ... and research. I'm right now on Squezzecenter/Slimserver (web page is better organized), then back to Coherence. It seems that PulseAudio is in the same category for audio files. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
