That was misleading, aptitude is a CLI & curses based tool.  Most were
using the apt form of commands, due to weight of HOWTOs and habits.
The live updating of desktop, like KDE appeared to work less well than
it does in OS, but those discussing  the issues just "knew that rpm
distros would be worse", and they'll not find out the real facts, as
the commnities tend to be closed and self reinforcing.
