Ok :-)

But what about where do Novell want to put their development
resources? What areas do Novell want to improve to get their
professional product to a higher standard? The pro products are based
upon the open product so some priorites are surly present?

My idea is was that it might be easier to go in a direction if there
is some persons with assigned tasks that drives it. Or else it seems
that the developers get to much influence.

I really love the guiding principles and they are great for
developers. But it´s not so easy to influence the direction of the
devlopment without being a developer. That´s understandable as most
developers are doing what they want to do and not assigning their
capabilities to the best of the overall project. And..... everybody is
not competent enough to be a developer :-)

I´d readily pay some fees to Novell if a system was set up for "pay
for influence" on the open source development. Much like Mandrake´s
subscription system.
