FWIW, I never received an email about my application being accepted
(which could also means it got caught in spam filters, of course, or
that I gave a bad email address). I found out about this on the website
by accident, so it wasn't a big deal...

Hello,
Question: is it just the university spam filter, or people really don't
get an e-mail, when their membership application is accepted? I was
surprised to find this morning, that I'm a member by browsing the member
list :-) I wasn't there a couple of weeks ago...
For those that have been approved the last few weeks - you might have
been approved before that-, I send out an email once the board approves.
