I don't know whether you noticed, but one has to have openSUSE
Membership in order to apply for the Board ;)
Unless I missed it somewhere on users.o.o, you don't have an approved
Membership status.
[...]
If you read the mission statement of the Board: it clearly says that the
Board does not have a say in technical aspects:
"The board should provide guidance and support existing governance
structures, but shouldn't direct or control development, since community
mechanisms exist t/o accomplish the goals of the project."
Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you you shouldn't run for the board
(unless you don't have the Membership status), I'm just trying to avoid
you'd run for the wrong reasons or with false expectations.
cheers

There are many things to do and to change. Developers sometimes need
someone which can show them, what direction to go. I would like to be
one of them.
