Not sure what you mean here.... (granted I am a latecomer to the
project mailing list). Can you elaborate a little?

Wikipedia is generally recognized as leading the pack for MediaWiki
use. I think they are at the least a good example to look to for how
to handle everything from high volume editing to
internationalizations. that is nto to say they are always right, but
there's a good chance that they've already been down whatever path the
openSUSE community is thinking of going.
