Hello,
since I probably can't attend to the status meeting tonight and status
mails seem to become popular, here's a short overview of Action Items.
It seems the cleanup in the last meeting was worth the time, because
several things were done:
- news.opensuse.org/rss works (#205176)
- branding of wiki frontpages (cs, es, is) is fixed (#238353)
[note: es and is look unmaintained, but that's another AI ;-) ]
- consolidation of domain names is done, nearly everything runs on
*.opensuse.org now (exception: bugzilla, IIRC it was said it won't get
an *.opensuse.org alias for several reasons) (#267435)
- en.opensuse.org/Tasks page - nothing wrong with this page - therefore
the AI was closed (#214260)
News on open AIs:
- "online help" button (the big topic of the last meeting) (#300773):
work in progress, according to bugzilla it should be in place in beta3
- openSUSE merchandising (#173961):
Michael received the approval, however approval for each item is
needed. Also waiting for Robert who is on vacation.
- status of cn wiki (#238355):
ready to go, waiting for the announcement
- unmaintained wikis (#238350):
currently, is, es and vi wikis are outdated (at least the version
numbers on the frontpage, I don't understand more in these languages)
On the positive side, the tr wiki frontpage is up to date again.
- integrate news.opensuse.org newsfeed in wiki frontpage (#293725):
works on staging, should go live in the next days
Action items not listed here have no news.
Technical:
- Henne added the status of each action item to the "whiteboard" field.
This should make it easier to track the status of AIs. [1]
- I created a shared saved search "Action Items" that you can use.
To do so, go to bugzilla preferences - saved searches and scroll down.
Search parameters are:
- everything in component "Action Items" -or- summary contains "[AI]"
- status: all except "CLOSED" (so you still see the RESOLVED AIs,
including LATER)
- I just see Henne also created a saved search "openSUSEActionItems"
with less details and only open AIs. Choose yourself which one you
prefer ;-)
@Henne: it seems your search is based on mine - it even shares a bug I
fixed in between. Please just select Classification "openSUSE" and
don't select any Product. (In other words: 10.3 is missing in your
search right now.)
Oh, and the names of saved searches may contain spaces ;-)
Regards,
Christian Boltz
PS: Actiom Item everybody: visit the "Weinfest" in Insheim, see sig ;-)
[1] Henne, maybe we should put more detailed status information in the
whiteboard, something like the things I wrote above. "Work in
progress" is not always helpful.
And we should include the date of last change in the status
whiteboard - this would allow to detect outdated whiteboard entries.
