Forum vs. Mailing List (WAS: Re: [opensuse-project] my experiences as a Ubuntu user with the 10.3beta 1 GNOME CD)

Not quite sure what the problem with phpBB is to Cristian, but you *can* have
a forum where you integrate with a mailing list.
Though I only have a one-way direction, I use M2F and phpBB quite successfully
on my FileNet-related forum.

That particular sub-forum holds emails submitted to the FileNet mailing lists.
I could integrate it easily with two-way communication, but I choose not to
simply because the FileNet lists are owned by IBM and are subscription only.
Regardless, it is very easy to integrate a forum with a mailing list.

Hey, at least it isn't the moshpit that is comp.os.linux.suse or
comp.os.linux.advocacy. :P
