Doing so would expose Novell to a number of legal risks, if Canonical is

In the NTFS section ntfs-3g is not mentioned

ntfs-3g is enabled by default on 10.3 (it seems that it is not covered
by any patent at the present ..warning IANAL)
Concerning the NVIDIA drivers, it

Yes, Binary kernel drivers violate the linux kernel license (ohh.. GPL..
well.. the same license thay some canonical founder came to defend here
