Perhaps you should consider the Enterprise products. They are designed to
prevent this kind of frustration you have. BTW, the life cycle is clear and
known for SUSE Linux consummer products: 2 years. You probably didn't know
that, but this information has always been public.

As I've said above, how about SLES/D10? It will be supported util 2013 (7
years).
