Any suggestions? I've been hitting my head to a wall (not literally of course) for days trying to figure this out.
Just re-read the error message ;-) Your build is *not* looking for libncurses, but libcurses... If you really want to use the (very) old libcurses, you should install the termcap package, but there ought to be some configuration option allowing you to specify which curses variant you want to use.
