Any suggestions gratefully received. Can I put anything in configure.ac/Makefile.am to set some default CXXFLAGS? For my own programs I _always_ use -Wall -pedantic -ansi and I usually want either -O2 or -g -O0. How do I get GNU build to detect the processor.
