Not sure what you mean. When the installation system is downloaded,
it's being loaded into ram. It has a 4 part thing. Once that is
done, the installation starts.

11.0 installer or would be better to use : install textmode=1
at the install boot prompt?

If you have less than 256MB RAM, you will need to setup a swap
partition first, or the installer will probably fail. Also, please
list you system specs. Since you say you have 160MB, I assume you are
using a PCI PowerMac(Beige) or a Beige G3?
