Hi,

I can't load any SCSI modules for my SCSI controller. I am running SuSE
7.3 PPC on my PowerMac G3 B&W. My SCSI controller is an Symbios 53c875
alias 'Formac' Card. when I call hwinfo --storage it is Identified
correctly on IRQ 23. When I do a insmod -f sym53c8xx (or modprobe) it
fails. Using /lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/scsi/sym53c8xx.o
Warning: loading /lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/scsi/sym53c8xx.o will
taint the kernel: forced
load/lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/scsi/sym53c8xx.o: init_module: No
such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module
parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters

well it is the same Problem even in another slot and with the original
kernel. What went wrong, or how do yoiu install SCSI Cards?

Bye Thomas
