In the following article http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/bugs73ppc.html PREP: The kernel is not copied in the boot partition Do not reboot the system after the installation. Copy the kernel manually inserting CD 1 and proceeding as follows: mount /cdrom dd if=/cdrom/suse/images/zImage.prep of=/dev/sda1 I am a little confused, if I use bootx is this true, and how do I get into the command mode as I am in the graphical installer when it says reboot. Also, if I am using the oldworld kernel is the above instruction still correct.
