Hi, I am using SuSE Linux 7.1 on a Power Mac G3. I got mol-0.9.60-49 and the km_mol-0.9.60-49 modules and installed these two archives. Following the compilation instruction ( make clean, make, make install) I rebuild MOL. If I now start mol I get the following response. MacG3:/usr/lib/mol/bin # startmol ==================================================================== No mol-0.9.60 kernel modules corresponding to the running 2.4.2 kernel were found ('startmol --list' displays installed version). Recompile the mol kernel modules (recommended) or try starting MOL using the '-a' switch. The '-a' flag can be made default by adding 'allow_kver_mismatch: yes' to /etc/molrc. ==================================================================== MacG3:/usr/lib/mol/bin # startmol -a ==================================================================== No kernel module suitable for this kernel was found. The MOL kernel modules must be recompiled (refer to www.maconlinux.org for instructions). The command 'startmol --list' can be used to display installed kernel modules. ==================================================================== MacG3:/usr/lib/mol/bin # startmol --list --------------------------------- Installed modules: --------------------------------- 2.2.18/misc --------------------------------- Running kernel: 2.4.2 --------------------------------- -noav = No AltiVec -smp = Multiprocessor Kernel Why are the modules for the 2.2.18 kernel loaded and not the ones for the 2.4.2 kernel ?
