Roger,
I do believe there is a license issue around the Nvidia driver, therefore,
SuSE or anyone else has to do some tricks, like you download it (driver)
after an install. You should not chalk this up as a problem, but a learning
exercise :~)

Jon

I checked www.suse.com and there are a lot of resellers etc. http://www.suse.com/us/products/suse_linux/ppc/prices.html

Hi all,
Does SuSE LinuxPPC 7.3 run as is -- out of the box so to speak -- on the new Quicksilver G4s?
<newbie user> I bought a SuSE LinuxPPC 7.1 distro a month ago and discovered it doesn't run my stock NVidia graphics card in my new Quicksilver G4, without patching that I am now afraid is over my head. BECAUSE because I was malled by my 7.1 Linux experience -- installing it on my old G3 Powerbook a month ago (SuSE's 60-day installation support rescued me, but that didn't rescue the manual). I hope the installation section has been edited for the 7.3 release -- rather than simply 50 pages more mayhem for newbies added! Buggy Manual, and not just the Ger-glish!

Thanks,
:-)
