Actually, that file doesn't exist. there is a file "etc/rc.config.d" which appeared not to be the correct one....So if I create it, and add the variable, something like KEYWORD=mac-us, or mac-fr_CH-latin1, which is the keymap SuSE says it looks for and cannot find at bootup, that work? You could boot with "init=/bin/bash rw" and edit the variable KEYTABLE in /etc/rc.config, put "mac-us" in it for a start. What do you have there right now?
