Discussing with postgis members on irc reveal that will become more strict on postgresql version The next 2.2 release will need 9.1.
SLES 11 (at least SP1 and newer, not sure about original SLES 11) has both postgresql 8.3 and 9.1 in its repo, and they are designed to coexist:
$ rpm -q --provides postgresql postgresql = 8.3.23-0.4.1 $ rpm -q --provides postgresql91 postgresql = 9.1.9 postgresql91 = 9.1.9-0.3.1
I would hope the OBS could resolve "Requires: postgresql >= 9.1" correctly.

From what I've tried it doesn't seems to work with osc build SLE_11_SP[2-3]
unresolvable: nothing provides postgresql >= 9.0 nor nothing provide postgresql91 :-( -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
