Seems to be an incompatibility with py3.3, but it also seems fixed in 1.7.0b2[0]. I'm not sure, but it shouldn't be long till a final release comes (it's already been a month and some of beta). In the meantime, I can: a) backport fixes b) push 1.7.0b2 to d:l:p b would be better if they release 1.7.0 before long, but I'm not 100% sure it'll happen given the remaining open bugs[1].
