No it doesn't, I dont know how many times or how many people have to say it, the scenario this check attempts to support is esentially doomed to failure,
agreed
and can be worked around in even more creative ways than redefining _suse_os_install_post, dlopen() comes to my mind too :-D
I refuse to patch perfectly good upstream packages just to work around bugs in the opensuse build checks. I'd rather drop the package from FACTORY. The Bluez project is particularly good at adapting its code to the needs of distributions in order to enable them to ship unpatched versions. Marcel has repeatedly stated that he does not want to support distro-patched versions (and he has a point there, since the project does try hard to invalidate the need for distro-patching). I as a packager do not want to be in the situation having to ask for help for a clearly unsupported setup. That's why I simply refuse to do that. -- Stefan Seyfried "Dispatch war rocket Ajax to bring back his body!" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
