How do you build the php5 debuginfo packages?

I've amended to the php5.spec to build a specific extension that I need to 
debug. 
And the build is fine. I get 55 rpms (including the 2 I have added) but there 
are no 
debuginfo or debugsource rpms. 

I've tried searching for info on how to generate the debuginfo packages but to 
no 
avail. What is the secret?
