I have looked at OBS and while it is a great idea, I am afraid there
are other reasons why I did not start doing such things myself. My
laptop seems to be tux unfreindly. I use opensuse 10.2 only because
no other distro will install on it. And that includes fedora 5,6,7,8,
ubuntu 6.06, 6.10, 7.04, 7.10 and suse 10.1,10.3. Yes, forget working
mostly (not always), they just hang during installation. To compound
mystery and misery, it's a $1000 approx laptop bought in Dec 2006.

I desperately want to upgrade but I dont know which one will come next
so I am stuck. My point is that I didnt do it because it will take me
a lot of effort to get started and it could all go down the drain as I
might have to switch to a completely different distro/version anytime.
Already I am having a few problems as I can't find some packages for
10.2 on the official repos (they are only available for 10.3).
