Don't call scrollkeeper in %post in 10.2. It is not needed. And in
distros, where it is needed (exactly touch in %post is used to trigger
SuSEconfig.scrollkeeper), it does not crash (/var/lib/scrollkeeper
exists).

If your application does not implement --disable-scrollkeeper and make
install fails, you have to patch it to package it anyways (writing
to /var/lib/scrollkeeper is not permitted during package build).

It is in OpenSUSE 10.3 and OBS GNOME:STABLE/UNSTABLE.
